Dear Friends:

For almost nine years, I have had the privilege of serving the citizens of Denton as City Council member and Mayor Pro Tem. I have worked very hard to earn your confidence by being committed solely to serving our community and its people. I am asking for your support as I seek my last term for the at-large position of City Council Place 5.

During my time on Council, I have been a leader on the Council, in the region and through our State:

  • As the next chair of the Regional Transportation Council, I am heavily involved in making crucial decisions on transportation, air quality and project funding for twelve North Texas counties
  • I am a member of the Senate 1420 Committee (Project I35E), Board member of Dallas Regional Transportation Coalition, Tex-21 statewide transportation agency and NASCO – transportation coalition for USA, Canada, and Mexico
  • I chair the Council Mobility Committee
  • I chair the Council Committee on the Environment and was instrumental in creating a new city environmental division
  • I chair the Hotel Tax Committee and have worked to distribute funds in a way that will benefit the whole community
  • I serve on the Council Airport Committee, Conventions and Visitor Bureau Committee, and Downtown TIF Board.
  • I was chair of the Council Ethics Committee – adopted the first Council Code of Ethics and also served on the Council Audit Committee

In addition, I have continued to serve the Denton community by being active in Denton Benefit League, Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis Club, Keep Denton Beautiful, Greater Denton Arts Council, North Texas Exes, and other organizations. I am proud co-founder and co-chair of the Denton Animal Shelter Foundation and serve on the Board of Directors of the Salvation Army. My husband, David Gosdin, and I are partners in Premier Sales Group and Premier Blueprinting and I am a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church of Denton.

As your City Council Place 5 representative, I will use this commitment and experience to continue to move Denton forward. I once again pledge to you that I will continue to promote the well being our entire community by encouraging beneficial economic growth, while maintain the unique character of our city and our neighborhoods. I look forward to continuing my service of providing open-mindedness, honesty and integrity.
